The Audiology Technician provides support within a clinic/office to assist licensed audiologists/hearing aid specialists, monitor and facilitate testing with patients, and clean/adjust hearing aids under supervision. The Audio Tech may travel to various office locations and may involve a temporary/provisional license. This role also includes front-desk responsibilities at the retail site, serving as the first point of contact with patients and vendors, and supporting the provider with a range of customer service, sales, marketing, operational and administrative tasks.

You Will Ensure a Positive Patient Experience
- Greet and assist all guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Check patients in/out of patient management software, track orders/sales, and maintain reports.
- Provide an elevated customer service approach and clear communication with patients.
- Direct and respond to calls promptly and professionally.
You Will Provide Administrative Assistance
- Schedule and confirm full audiometric evaluations and other appointments.
- Support and track current marketing initiatives for the clinic.
- Coordinate with professional staff to obtain referrals and provide testing data for billing.
- Enter daily activity in patient management software.
- Organize the office, maintain supplies, and ensure accurate patient files.
- Protect patient privacy and manage insurance information and authorizations.
You Will Contribute Technical Support
- Assist the licensed professional with counseling and cleaning of hearing instruments as applicable.
- Monitor and facilitate hearing testing in compliance with state laws and regulations.
- Maintain day-to-day operational procedures.
- Your duties may be slightly modified depending on state guidelines for patient care and licensure.
You Will Complete Varied Tasks
- Report information to Regional Support Specialist for insurance billing.
- Follow up on referrals.
- Send thank-you cards for referrals and sales.
- Make deposits and maintain cashbox (transportation may be required).
Results - Performance Measures
- Provide a quality Patient Journey experience and garner positive patient feedback.
- Ensure procedures and policies are followed.
- Data accuracy in the patient management software.
- Conduct recalls for 3-month check and annual exams.
- Contribute to increases in clinic sales.
Other Duties
- Support Northland Employee Corporate and department guidelines.
- Check and verify quality; adapt to change productively.
- Assist with clinic performance development and other essential duties as assigned.
You Will Need
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of customer service/patient care experience or one year of office management experience.
- Ability to develop knowledge of software systems including Excel, Word, and Sycle.net.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday during standard clinic hours.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual hourly rate ranges from $16.00/hr to $21.00/hr. Starting pay may vary by geography, skills, education and experience.
- Position may be eligible for commissions based on performance results.
