Overview

Visual Merchandiser (Part-Time) at The Buckle, Inc. The Visual Merchandiser’s primary responsibility is to fulfill the mission: “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Visual Merchandising Teammates contribute to profitability by managing the visual appearance and shopability of the store using visual guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely installation and removal of window presentations and store promotion events in a timely manner, including packing, unpacking, and prepping all props while supporting the visual direction of the company standard.
• Partner with store leadership to discuss and plan store layouts and creative design flow of the merchandise, including product rotation and markdown placement.
• Communicate effectively with the leadership team to drive better business results.
• Educate Buckle leadership on the reasons driving visual strategies.
• Display urgency when getting new product to the floor.
• Assist Guests and Teammates as needed.
• Demonstrate a strategic understanding of Sales Presentation, Register, and iPad to help assist Guests. Maintain a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods (Thanksgiving and Christmas) based on store and business needs.
• Communicate policy violations and Teammate or Guest concerns to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources in a timely, confidential manner.
• Understand and apply The Buckle’s Code of Ethics and all Buckle’s policies, procedures, and handbooks.
• Fulfill the mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Take on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

Regular standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs; vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Retail store setting with a usually moderate noise level.
