Overview We’re looking for a driven professional with an inclusive mindset to join our team as an Art Director, Digital + Paid Media . The Art Director, Digital + Paid Media is accountable for driving the development of creative concepts based on written or verbal briefs. Collaborates with senior creative leaders and partners to produce design solutions that visually convey a particular message, idea or concept. Also mentors junior creatives and provides on-going direction to advance the creative point of view of the brand. This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL offices with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. Salary information – Minimum Starting Rate: $68,000 annually; Up to: $90,000 annually. Pay ranges may be adjusted to comply with state/local law. In addition to base salary, may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and long-term incentives depending on role. Location: Crate: Corporate Office, Northbrook, IL. Responsibilities Collaborate with key partners to execute creative projects for digital channels under the direction of a Sr. Art Director, including digital media, social platforms and web banners Lead and develop multiple ongoing projects and timelines Maintain brand authenticity and consistency across all design executions for static and motion deliverables Approach design projects from a user-centered perspective Build strong working relationships with creative, marketing and cross-channel partners to deliver strategic and on-target concepts Collaborate with design leads and external teams to ensure campaigns uphold/elevate the brand identity Attend or lead meetings to understand goals and objectives throughout project stages Conceive, develop and present concepts and designs to leaders Produce original ideas with compelling visual content; may attend photo shoots when required Assist in edits and production to ensure high-quality creative from start to finish Manage budgets and deadlines; assist in developing and maintaining project schedules Manage projects within schedule requirements and quick turnarounds What you’ll bring to the table Proven mentoring skills; acts with courage, compassion and calm Positive attitude and infectious drive that energizes others Strong understanding of social media platforms, their features, trends and best practices Effective communication with stakeholders; ability to simplify complex issues Collaborative team orientation with associates across functions Visual design skills with strong typography and aesthetic judgment Strong organizational, time management and project management skills Flexibility and adaptive problem-solving; positive service attitude toward internal and external customers Required qualifications Must provide a link to portfolio (including password) on resume or provide PDF samples 7 years of Graphic Design or relevant experience; experience in Retail industry is a plus 2 years of experience mentoring junior designers Bachelor's degree in Art and Design with emphasis in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or related area Excellent skills with Adobe CC Suite, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign Experience in animation and video editing is a must Experience in illustration, photography and social content capture Experience working with third parties when executing web banners (Google, Spark, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus Love and mastery of typography Additional details Industry: Retail Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Design, Art/Creative, IT #J-18808-Ljbffr
