We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Content to lead our editorial and content marketing teams, drive significant business growth, advance new business development, and foster organic growth within our existing client base. You will align content efforts across the agency’s disciplines to embed content strategy within our integrated marketing approach and deliver measurable outcomes for the agency and clients.
What You’ll Do Set the vision for content strategy and build an aligned content marketing plan that supports client outcomes, agency growth, and cultural momentum
Translate brand ambitions into a system of owned, earned, shared, and zero-click offerings
Define and transfer knowledge of how content wins in an AI-centric universe while keeping the client’s voice at the center
Lead the content discipline (editorial, SEO, content marketing) and oversee the content team
Create a performance-based approach to integrate with Creative, Strategy, Insights+Analytics, Social, and Brand Marketing teams
Develop the agency framework with the ECD for high-output services including evergreen, episodic, campaign-related, and modular content
Establish editorial standards to drive relevance, trust, and authority, incorporating AI approaches where appropriate
Market the work by helping clients view content as a growth driver and a core component of client funnels, brand, and community
Build a thought leadership program and opportunities for facilitated workshops in partnership with other Integrated Solutions offerings
Be the expert on when to buy and when to automate; guide AI-driven decisions for content initiatives
Grow a highly functional team of writers, editors, strategists, and content marketers; foster curiosity and collaboration across the team
Represent content in pitches, provide counsel, and help move the agency forward as a leader in the discipline
What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
10+ years of experience in editorial leadership and content marketing with a track record of driving business growth
Experience in a Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications agency with strong client-facing and campaign execution skills
Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through strategic content initiatives and lead a team of 5+ professionals
Strong understanding of editorial processes, content marketing, SEO, analytics tools, and the ability to leverage these for business success
Ability to prompt and create frameworks for AI-driven processes
Exceptional leadership, communication, and client engagement skills
Experience in a technology-related field is a plus
Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinker with a passion for driving business results through innovative editorial solutions
