Videographer/Photographer (PSS3), Division of Marketing & Communication

The full-time Videographer/Photographer will provide professional, high-quality video and photography support for the Division of Marketing & Communication at Rowan University. Projects include commercial-level videography and photography for publications, websites, and social media. The role translates video and photography into compelling visual narratives aligned with the university brand.
Essential Duties:
- Manage conception and production of video content (shooting, editing, converting and uploading, optimizing, and adding effects) for multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute the division’s strategies.
- Assist with pre-visualization, writing scripts, titles, descriptions, closed captioning and tags for photos and videos.
- Plan and coordinate interviews, testimonials, and demonstrations for content.
- Develop concepts, capture and reproduce high-quality photographic images for marketing materials and digital content for print and digital distribution.
- Conduct photo shoots and apply creative skills to reflect campus activities.
- Maintain, organize, and archive photo and video files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate various DSLR cameras, audio equipment, and professional lighting.
- Understanding of professional lighting standards and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of constituents.
- Advanced user of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Wrike and Media Valet.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, video production, photography, photojournalism, art or related field.
- Two to three years of experience in video production and editing.
- Two to three years of professional photography experience including assignment shooting, studio work, and post-production.
- Valid Driver’s License.
In compliance with New Jersey Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is Range 21 ($63,833.24 to $73,416.00), with placement determined by qualifications and experience.
For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10).
