To help achieve this goal, we're looking for a passionate, detail-oriented UX Engineer 2 who can meticulously craft our collective vision through code, while being an influential liaison between the UX and Engineering teams to up-level our quality across the organization—building consistent, intuitive, and accessible experiences leveraging modern aesthetics and the latest generative AI technology. Responsibilities
- Transform Figma designs into production-ready code rapidly so product teams can ship modern, consistent interfaces faster.
- Collaborate across disciplines to educate others on design and implementation tradeoffs, proactively identifying potential risks and developing solutions for optimal outcomes.
- Build and scale front-end solutions like UI systems and reusable React components that power world-class experiences.
- Champion accessibility, performance, and reusability, making every design system component robust and future-proof.
- Shape the future of our design system by contributing to AI-driven tooling, open-source initiatives, while building automation to enhance scalability, maintainability, and forward-thinking innovation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction or related field AND 2+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR equivalent experience
- 1+ year(s) of experience in Typescript and React
- 1+ year(s) of experience shipping production-ready code as a result of a collaborative process
- The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- Systems thinking and design system development experience
- Hands-on experience developing automation scripts and tools
- Experience with translating high-fidelity designs into code using Figma
- Familiarity with backend development concepts and API integration (REST, GraphQL) for data-driven UI components
- Focus on optimizing front-end performance, with an understanding of AI tooling
- Experience working in a monorepo leveraging tools like Nx or Turborepo
- Passion for modular design and advocating for future-proof architectures and solutions
Compensation and Benefits
UX Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area: USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
