What you’ll do Help us create content for our website, campaigns, social media, and events. Develop a deep understanding of Mercury's brand, storytelling approach, and audience, and craft visuals that resonate and strategically elevate our content. Balance multiple projects from concepting through final execution, managing timelines with clarity and calm. Collaborate proactively and communicate effectively in an environment that values diverse perspectives, creativity, and innovation. What you’ll bring 2+ years of professional experience in motion design. A standout portfolio demonstrating a strong eye for motion and design. Good aesthetic judgment with deep understanding of timing, ease curves, basic composition, motion dynamics, and finishing details. Proactive problem-solving, ability to manage multiple deliverables, and ease in handing off projects. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in After Effects or similar 2D motion tools. Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar 3D tools. Exposure to scripting (e.g., expressions in After Effects) is a plus. Knowledge of aspect ratios, resolutions, file formats, and codecs to optimize export settings. Ability to mock up (storyboard) motion design projects. Strong communication skills to articulate concepts and creative decisions to internal teams and external partners. Passion for collaborating closely with other designers and cross-functional partners to enhance creative execution. Compensation & Benefits The total rewards package includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Salaries are competitive within SaaS and fintech and updated using industry data. New hire offers consider experience, location, and internal pay equity. Target base salary ranges for this role: US employees: $97,400 - 109,600; Canadian employees: $92,000 - 103,600 CAD.
