We are looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to join our North America Headquarters in Austin, TX (hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office). The Content Marketing Specialist is an exciting and highly visible opportunity within the organization. As the first line of contact with Ottobock product users and patients on social media, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our brand is seen and experienced. This role thrives on collaboration, both locally and with our global colleagues, as you create content that resonates across regions. You’ll assist and collaborate with the senior content marketing manager to make meaningful content come to life. Whether it’s behind the camera capturing authentic stories or working directly with product users and patients, you\'ll build strong relationships with content creators, colleagues, and the broader Ottobock community. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Create compelling, on-brand social copy and visuals that drive engagement, educate audiences, and amplify Ottobock’s brand story.
  • Be hands-on in content creation, capturing photo and video content in collaboration with Ottobock product users, patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
  • Proactively scout, onboard, and collaborate with content creators; develop creator briefs and manage ongoing communications.
  • Write persuasive and engaging content across channels including paid digital ads, email campaigns, and website copy.
  • Closely monitor and manage community engagement, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
  • Conduct ongoing social listening and reporting, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with cross-functional and global teams to source stories, adapt content for North America, and contribute to worldwide campaigns.
  • Track performance through analytics, translating results into actionable recommendations for content and campaign improvements.
  • Act as a visible, approachable brand ambassador, building trust through authentic interactions and consistent storytelling through event attendance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of marketing communications experience; social media management required.
  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to adapt tone for social media, advertising, email, and web.
  • Comfortable working behind the camera, capturing content and directing others.
  • Experience with influencer/content creator engagement and campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
  • Social media design skills (Canva or equivalent) and comfort with photo/video editing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter mindset with ambition to grow social media performance and expand brand reach.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work environment requiring in-office participation at least three times per week.
  • May require corporate travel.
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
