Between 9am-8pm Saturday & Sunday. We have an exciting opportunity for a 'Sandwich Artist' to work in the SUBWAY department within our Grantham locale, who enjoy having fun working as part of a small team. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, you will display exceptional customer service, greet and interact with customers in a helpful and friendly manner, creating a pleasant experience while completing orders.

Role details

Subway Sandwich Artist, Grantham. 24 hours per week. Working hours include:

• Between 8am-8pm Monday-Friday
• Between 9am-8pm Saturday & Sunday

Responsibilities

• Preparing all sandwich ingredients, including baking cookies/bread and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping and grating ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to customers accurately.
• Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
• Restock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Use the till to record orders, take payments and give correct change where necessary.
• Understand and adhere to Subway, SPAR and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.

Key Skills / Knowledge

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred
• Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business at SPAR
• Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently

• Salary: Up to £12.25 per hour (dependent on age)
