Overview
Audio Visual Technician (On Call) position with Eurest USA. Location: Waveguide - Flex Program - 3 Times Square, New York, NY 10001. Schedule: On call as needed. Pay range: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.
Job Summary
Ensures that all audio visual requirements requested by clients are met and interfaces with various types of audio visual, communication, and presentation technology. Maintains positive customer relationships and ensures timely responses to inquiries for space or service needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review customer and meeting planner requests from the reservation system and provide equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary. Gather information from email and phone communications and distribute to the assigned contact.
- Provide problem escalation support and issue resolution. Follow up on service challenges and work with the manager to take corrective action.
- Provide technical assistance for meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.
- Follow SOPs for audio-visual support as provided by the AV Manager and Director of Technology and Operations.
- Adhere to preventative maintenance room sweeps on a weekly basis and report sweep information through the database.
- Change data projectors, lamps and cabling pieces associated with the various integrated systems throughout the portfolio.
- Review operation of equipment with customers and ensure they are comfortable with its operation.
- Offer assistance in operation of equipment and help solve problems if a customer is unsure of requirements.
- Educate staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
- Maintain metrics associated with room equipment inventory and repairs/replacements in conference rooms.
- Communicate with co-workers and service partners to ensure information is shared.
- Assist with conference room setups, breakdowns, and other areas where assistance is needed.
- Keep AV storerooms organized and well managed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience supporting audio visual for events.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
