Security Communications Specialist

What You\'ll Do

  • Oversee communications center operations and support your team.
  • Answer calls, monitor alarms, and coordinate emergency responses.
  • Use our Computer Assisted Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS).
  • Train, guide, and schedule Security Communications Specialists.
  • Review incident reports and keep accurate records.
  • Work closely with hospital staff, Baltimore Police, and other partners when needed.

What We\'re Looking For

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Completion of entry-level security training and a 911 Emergency Response course.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
  • Familiarity with security systems, radios, and computer-based dispatch tools.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check, health screening, and random drug testing.

What to Expect

This is a fast-paced, high-energy role where no two days are the same. You\'ll need to think quickly, handle emergencies with professionalism, and be ready to lead by example.

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
