Associa is a company with a network of branch offices across North America and a long-standing commitment to community management. We are hiring a Community Manager who will supervise a community association and interact with homeowners, vendors, board members and committees to support operation and governance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation and administration of the Association in accordance with the management agreement and the Association's policies and procedures
- Act as or oversee the primary liaison with the Association Board of Directors and homeowners as needed
- Perform/direct administrative and management duties as requested by the Board and in accordance with the management agreement
- Ensure community management tools are developed and utilized (annual calendar, action item lists, resolution worksheets, agendas, RFP matrices, committee charters, procurement procedures, FY operating budget, etc.)
- Review monthly financial reports and ensure management summaries are provided to the Board
- Provide and/or oversee recommendations to the Board and committees regarding major capital expenditures to maintain community standards
- Monitor delinquency rates and the collections process for the account portfolio
- Attend Board meetings and community events as needed
- Prepare Board packages within established time frames
- Ensure the Board is aware of legal actions involving the Association
- Maintain unit and contract files related to the operations of the Association
- Assist Board/ARB with architectural review processes and routine inspections as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 - 3 years of Community Association or equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of communities, property, real estate and homeowners associations
- Knowledge of the role of the association board and the Community Association Manager
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and a team player
- Professional customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques
Certifications & Licenses
- Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) is a bonus
- Valid Driver's License

Compensation
$58,658; direct experience highly considered.
