This is a role for an Associate Photographer managing media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com in a defined territory.
The Role
Associate Photographers create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes using Matterport Pro3 cameras, digital cameras, and iPads. Each photographer services a core territory and coordinates appointments to capture property media. The role involves residential photography for marketing purposes and collaboration with clients, sales, logistics, and management. Photographers are managed remotely by a Photography Manager in local markets.
Responsibilities
- Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3-D virtual tours and footprints.
- Create a portfolio of photographs that feature homes and apartments effectively using professional photography techniques.
- Collaborate with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
- Communicate professionally with clients, sales teams, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
- Identify new inventory and photography opportunities within assigned market areas to ensure comprehensive real estate data coverage.
- Adhere to CoStar safety standards to safeguard equipment and vehicles.
- Present and represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
- Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
- Repetitive hand/arm movements to operate camera equipment and input data.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying.
- Ability to work and drive outside in all seasons.
- Weekend work on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
- Real estate photography experience required.
- Experience as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.
- Drone photography experience with FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
- Strong time management and highly detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to accurately capture and enter data.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; field experience preferred.
- Current and valid driver’s license; driving record check required prior to start.
Compensation
The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible. Bonuses are paid monthly based on performance against predefined metrics. This is an hourly role with pay amounts totaling approximately $50,000 annually, with potential monthly bonuses up to a total compensation of $70,000.
