The Role

Associate Photographers are a versatile team responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. They use Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment and iPad to create virtual tours, floorplans and photography for residential homes. Each Associate Photographer covers a core territory and services clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com.

Appointments are scheduled for defined dates and times to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours and floor plans. They also take residential photography for marketing purposes. This role works closely with clients, sales associates, logistics and the management team, and is managed remotely by a Photography Manager in local markets.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3-D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments using effective photography techniques.
  • Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales teams, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
  • Navigate one-mile square grids to identify new inventory, missing availability, and properties to be photographed when not shooting a residential home.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements for typing on a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying to perform job functions.
  • Ability to work and drive outside in all seasons.
  • Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Real estate photography experience required.
  • Experience as a professional photographer, or a recently earned degree in photography.
  • Drone photography experience with FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time management skills and very detail-oriented.
  • Ability to accurately capture and enter data.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Abstract check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible. Bonuses are paid monthly based on performance against pre-determined metrics. The role has an hourly pay structure with the potential to earn about $50,000 annually, plus monthly bonuses.

This position is hourly with an annual wage around $49,000–$50,000, based on skills and experience, plus benefits.
