Job Summary

Architects and executes interaction and visual design, as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, drawing on results from user research, content strategy and workflow analysis. Applies contemporary user experience methodologies to the design and development of engaging user interfaces for websites and applications. UX design provides highly analytical and journey-driven paths to fuel creative UI/visual design for a complete end-user experience. Develops prototypes, mockups, wireframes, task flows and other visuals. Conducts user research and usability testing to measure quality of user's experience when interacting with digital websites or applications.

Responsibilities

  • User Research and Usability
    • Researches, designs, and proposes user research plans across a particular functional domain of responsibility
    • Determines user research methodologies to optimize data collection
    • Interacts with stakeholders to determine requirements and set expectations
    • Creates user scenarios and stories to coordinate with other teams
    • Leads user research sessions
    • Analyzes research results to inform design and development
    • Presents results to stakeholders
  • Information Architecture
    • Designs organization and categorization of schemas within an information system
    • Develops navigation structures to support proper wayfinding
    • Ensures navigational consistency across multiple complementary sites and/or applications
    • Structures and classifies sites and applications to help people find and manage information
    • Designs an information space to facilitate task completion and intuitive access to content
  • Interaction Design
    • Develops a range of UX deliverables, including task flows, information architecture (IA) diagrams, design studies, wireframes, and high-fidelity interface mockups
    • Provides line-level creative direction for a particular functional domain of responsibility
    • Leads, presents, defends and articulates design work in design reviews with colleagues and stakeholders
    • Executes interaction design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
    • Researches interaction design trends
  • Visual/UI Design
    • Leads concepting and development of design systems
    • Oversees development of style guides, and ensures ongoing completeness and relevance
    • Socializes design specifications and style guides with stakeholders to ensure understanding and adoption
  • UX Strategy/SME Consultation
    • Applies critical thinking to a variety of complex user problems, taking into account user needs, business objectives and technical constraints
    • Can act as an internal UX SME for other internal or third-party projects, to ensure design consistency and sharing of best practices
  • Prototyping
    • Creates and proposes prototyping standards and toolsets
    • Determines need for prototyping efforts, based on functional complexity and requirement specifics
    • Socializes prototypes via design reviews or 1:1 usability sessions

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The targeted pay ranges for this position by location are:

  • United States – Dallas Infomart Office DAI: 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual
  • Canada – Toronto Office TRO: 131,000 - 181,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
