The Contact Center’s friendly staff supports and promotes the organization’s physicians and services while ensuring that all telephone inquiries are responded to in a comprehensive and considerate manner.

As the Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that Hawaii Pacific Health patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at Hawaii Pacific Health. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Contact Center and assist with a variety of administrative tasks. These include: interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients’ medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional and technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection.

We are looking for a sensitive and helpful individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. One (1) year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: International Classification of Diseases and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Coding Certification. Basic medical terminology. Experience with EPIC.
