What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the Heart of a Thriving Community: assist with day-to-day operations at one of our garden-style communities, support the Community Manager, and be the go-to person for residents.
- Resident & Office Operations: support all aspects of resident relations—from onboarding to move-out; respond to resident concerns and service requests; manage a smooth move-in process; assist with leasing office operations and marketing.
- Billing & Financials: oversee resident billing and ledger accuracy; follow up on delinquencies, process legal notices, manage collections; assist with budget tracking, reporting, and invoice processing; process write-offs and financial documentation in line with policy.
- Team & Leasing Support: onboard and support leasing team members; assist with tours or leasing tasks when needed; help manage community promotions and local partnerships; share ideas to boost performance and improve systems.
- Compliance & Reporting: stay current on local, state, and federal housing laws; track lease violations and resident documentation; ensure accuracy in resident files and system records; support audit readiness and assist with affordable housing compliance (if applicable).
Compensation
18.50 - 21.50 / hour plus annual performance-based bonus.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in property management or as an Assistant Community Manager
- Strong knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and property regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail, especially with billing and reporting
- Proficient in property management software (Yardi, OneSite, or similar)
- Strong time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- A team mindset and a solutions-first attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
