Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - All Statuses, All Shifts - Newport News Job

Overview

Warwick Forest Lifelong Health and Rehab is hiring for all shifts. New part time and full time hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $2,000.

Works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety and dignity, and follows facility policies and procedures including resident privacy and dignity.
• Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents; provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to the highest practical ability. Documents accurately in EMR the resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
• Follows universal precautions, infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.

Qualifications

Experience

• 1 year prior Nurse Aide work experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)
