Overview

A large-scale contract supporting law enforcement vehicle outfitting is seeking Low Voltage Technicians to assist with the installation of electronic systems in specialized police vehicles. Technicians will be responsible for installing copper and fiber cabling, cameras, land mobile radios (LMRs), and other IT-related equipment. While full training will be provided for the specific systems used, candidates must have prior experience in low voltage cabling, automotive systems, or both.

Responsibilities

  • Install copper and fiber cabling, cameras, land mobile radios (LMRs), and other IT-related equipment in specialized police vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Experience with low voltage cabling systems and/or automotive electronics
  • Strong reliability and work ethic

Additional Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized installation procedures
  • Open to training and working in a structured, team-oriented environment

Work Environment

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Location: Chesterfield, VA
  • Overtime: Required and compensated
  • Setting: Indoor workshop; occasional fieldwork at local cell sites (no climbing involved)

Pay and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
