Overview Role: Director of Amazon Advertising Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers) Compensation Range: $125,000-$175,000 DOE At Luminize , we help brands win, and as one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the US, we’re looking for top performers to grow with us. We’re looking for a Director of Amazon Advertising who can drive the strategic vision, growth, and performance of the Advertising department by leading teams, optimizing resources and budgets, and setting KPIs and long-term goals to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and market leadership. What You’ll Be Doing Provide strategic leadership for the Advertising department , overseeing budget planning, resource optimization, and organizational design to scale performance across teams Lead transformational initiatives to evolve advertising processes, improve executional efficiency, and position the team for future growth and industry leadership Set and drive the advertising vision , establishing KPIs, long-term objectives, and performance frameworks to deliver measurable business impact and maximize ROAS Mentor and develop high-potential leaders , fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth aligned with company values Leverage market intelligence and performance analytics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and guide the adoption of innovative Amazon Advertising strategies Ensure operational alignment by integrating departmental initiatives and milestones with company-wide goals, championing cross-functional collaboration at the executive level Qualifications Five or more (5+) years of experience in Amazon Advertising , ideally in agency environments and as a senior individual contributor, including at least five (5) additional years in a management role Deep experience within the Amazon ecosystem ; managing high-performing teams and driving strategic growth across complex advertising operations Demonstrated expertise in project and people management , including setting clear priorities, delegating effectively, and coaching teams toward aligned organizational goals Technical proficiency in data analysis and reporting , leveraging Excel/Google Sheets to extract insights, track performance, and inform strategic planning within Amazon Advertising Strong adaptability and executional focus , with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving advertising landscape Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business , or related field (or equivalent experience) Office & Benefits You’ll be based in Symphony Towers , one of San Diego’s premier office spaces that offers: Stunning views of the city and coastline Free access to the building gym Discounts at restaurants and cafes in the tower Secure bike racks in the building and 24/7 paid parking in a nearby downtown structure Close walking distance to 100+ of the top bars, restaurants, and coffee shops Our office is designed for comfort, productivity, and collaboration, featuring: Ergonomic standing desks and high-quality workstations A fully stocked snack bar, espresso machine, and cold drinks A welcoming team lounge area and sunny workspaces A clean, modern space where we can do our best work together Compensation Transparency We’ve listed a broad salary range of $125,000-$175,000/year to account for varying levels of experience, skill sets, and leadership depth.
