User Experience Design Manager Job at Affinity Search Partners in Newark

We’re looking for a UX Design Manager to lead the strategy and execution of user-centered design across web and mobile products. This is a hands-on, visible role where you’ll design engaging digital experiences, shape UX best practices, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and agency partners to deliver seamless, impactful user experiences. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days onsite in the Newark, NJ area. Responsibilities Lead UX and UI design across web and mobile platforms, from concept to delivery. Translate complex requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces. Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure designs align with business goals and are implemented with accuracy. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate and refine design concepts. Manage and collaborate with external design agencies when scaling design capabilities. Establish design systems, patterns, and processes that improve consistency and efficiency. Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions and optimize user experiences. Mentor and support future design hires as the team grows. Requirements 6+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio of web and mobile work. Background in eCommerce or other fast-paced, product-driven environments. Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and usability best practices. Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and external agencies. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with a user-first mindset and high attention to detail.
