Overview
Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis – Design Entities (Manager of FP&A) to be responsible for the GPLA and IDtBS business financials and other duties as requested. The Manager of FP&A will partner with GPLA and IDtBS leaders, core teams, and other F&A leaders to drive consistent processes and accurate financials.
Responsibilities
- Support Design Entities strategies, ensuring alignment with long-term company objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends and opportunities to provide forward-looking insights.
- Direct GPLA & IDtBS day-to-day operational accounting and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, local regulations, and internal controls.
- Lead in a shared leadership environment, driving results through collaboration and positive influence.
- Scale the function for growth by identifying and implementing process improvements and leveraging data and technology.
- Provide forward-looking business scenario analysis to inform leadership of opportunities, risks, and operational needs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with GPLA and IDtBS leadership and core teams to drive consistency in processes and financial reporting.
- Coordinate and report timely monthly financial information with evaluation of risks and opportunities for projects to GPLA, IDtBS, and the DPR Enterprise F&A.
- Direct day-to-day accounting for GPLA & IDtBS; ensure accurate financial results across multiple locations (GPLA West, GPLA East, IDtBS West, IDtBS East).
- Support the annual Business Planning process and lead finance initiatives that improve accounting processes.
- Provide analysis of financial position to inform strategic decisions.
Financials – Specific Areas of Focus
- Manage and update the WIP schedule monthly for Leadership review and evaluate project health.
- Prepare and finalize monthly financial packages; attend project review meetings and submit to DPR Enterprise F&A.
- Generate monthly MDAs for Design Entities leadership review and alignment.
- Assist in backlog data preparation based on booked/unbooked work, CRM opportunities, and market projections.
- Review overhead cost trends and investigate anomalies; monitor utilization rates for direct labor and overhead; update rates and participate in annual reviews.
- Customize financial reports in the system to meet operations requirements; manage ERP reporting, general ledger, chart of accounts setup, and financial statement mapping.
- Review financial details of new projects and contracts to ensure accuracy before adding to monthly reports.
- Support ad hoc analyses and attend Leadership meetings to communicate financials and related insights.
Accounting
- Understand key owner contract provisions affecting accounting (billing terms, rates, incentives, penalties, contingency use, audit provisions, etc.).
- Understand POC accounting and BIE/CIE issues; communicate issues with project teams and Leadership.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Accountant and drive best accounting practices across the Enterprise.
- Follow up with project teams on invoice timeliness and collections; analyze cash flow and forecast future cash needs.
General

Education/Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
- BS in Accounting or related field (finance, audit, tax).
- Proficiency with accounting software applications; construction or design industry experience preferred.
- Experience with EPM/Oracle; ERP experience (Ajera is a plus).
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
