Seeking Producer, Camera Operator, Field Recordist and Documentary Filmmaker

Location Arcadia, Florida and Desoto Lakes, Florida

I am a criminologist and award-winning author. I have been interested in doing a documentary on a cold case out of DeSoto County, Florida for several years. I have several notable experts on board, the case file information, and have contacted the investigating agency. I am not a filmmaker and am looking for an agency that is interested in partnering with me.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the requester to develop and produce a documentary project on a DeSoto County cold case.
• Provide expertise in production, camera operation, field recording, or documentary filmmaking as applicable.
• Coordinate with experts, review case file information, and liaise with the investigating agency as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing, camera operation, field recording, or documentary filmmaking.
• Ability to partner with non-filmmaker stakeholders to develop a documentary concept and plan.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with researchers, experts, and agencies.
