Overview

Mason Gross School of the Arts, a vibrant community of artists and scholars, invites applications for part-time instructional and academic support for undergraduate and graduate courses within the Department of Art & Design. The Department cultivates a diverse community that values visual literacy, critical dialogue, experimentation, and the skills necessary for sustaining a creative life beyond the studio. The Department offers BFA and BA degrees in Visual Arts with concentrations in Drawing, Media, Painting, Photography, Print, and Sculpture, as well as a BFA in Design, and MFA degrees in Visual Arts and Design.

Successful applicants will staff undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization content area. Most course appointments are located in Downtown New Brunswick; Sculpture appointments are located in Piscataway.

Salary: A minimum of $2,777 per credit.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a minimum of Master of Fine Arts or equivalent profile in area of practice and at least one year of relevant teaching experience. Strong pedagogical, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
