Overview
Atlantic Coast Mortgage, LLC (ACM) is looking for an experienced Content Developer & Copywriter to join our Marketing Team. In this role, you will own all copywriting and help drive content creation efforts, developing blog articles, email campaigns, social media posts, video scripts, and print/digital collateral.
The ideal candidate will have a vision to build a growing brand through creative storytelling and strategic content marketing. You should plan high-impact content aligned with business goals and execute plans effectively. You will manage the content creation process end-to-end, from brainstorming and research to writing, editing, and publishing across multiple channels. You will conduct discovery calls and interviews to gather insights and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Loan Officers, senior leadership) to craft compelling, accurate content.
This full-time, in-office position in Fairfax, VA is part of the marketing team and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to generate content ideas and plan campaigns in line with business goals
- Write and edit copy for blogs, social media, emails, video scripts, and print/digital materials
- Coordinate with designers and videographers to develop multimedia elements
- Monitor and analyze content performance to inform future decisions
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines, project deadlines, and stakeholder expectations

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a content strategy and editorial calendar that supports marketing campaigns and business objectives.
- Content Creation: Write and edit engaging content for multiple formats, ensuring a consistent brand voice, tone, and style.
- Research & Collaboration: Conduct discovery calls, interviews, and research; collaborate with internal teams to identify storytelling opportunities and ensure accuracy.
- Optimization: Optimize content for each platform and audience; apply SEO best practices for web content and tailor messaging for social media, email, and print.
- Project Management: Manage multiple content projects from concept to completion with an organized content calendar and timely delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with designers, videographers, and marketing colleagues to create cohesive campaigns.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain and reinforce brand voice and messaging; ensure materials meet company guidelines and applicable regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on content marketing trends and industry developments; proactively propose new ideas.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in copywriting, content development, or content marketing; strong writing portfolio
- Writing & Editing: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to tailor tone for different channels
- Content Optimization: Understanding of SEO and optimization for web, social, and email
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and CRM/email platforms
- AI & LLM Expertise: Proficient with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for ideation and content quality improvements
- Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to conduct interviews and work with team members at all levels
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to align content with business goals and analyze performance data
- Adaptability: Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team; open to feedback
