Social Media Content Creator (Contract / 1099)

$25.00 – $35.00 per hour (Contract)

Company Overview

We’re a growing business focused on building brand awareness through authentic, creative, and engaging digital content. We’re now seeking a skilled Social Media Content Creator to help us plan, film, and produce short-form videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, and passionate about social media. You’ll assist in planning video concepts, capturing high-quality short clips, and collaborating on content ideas that drive engagement. Editing experience is a plus but not required — we already have virtual assistants who can handle that portion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, film, and produce short-form video content for social media platforms
• Collaborate with leadership on creative direction and content ideas
• Participate in regular brainstorming and content planning meetings
• Organize, label, and upload footage for editors when needed
• Ensure brand consistency and alignment with messaging
• Stay up-to-date with current social media trends, sounds, and hashtags

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience creating or managing content on social media platforms (professional or personal)
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube content trends
• Comfortable behind a camera and working independently
• Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• Basic editing knowledge (optional but preferred)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Work Type & Schedule

Contract / 1099 position

Part-time and flexible hours

Remote with occasional in-person collaboration

Pay

$25 – $35 per hour (based on experience)

Desired Experience

• Video production: 1 year (preferred)
• Social media management or content creation: 1 year (preferred)
• TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts familiarity: required
