Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer

Overview
GliaCell is seeking a Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer for a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems for a large government contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Transition a legacy Python application into a modern web app.
• Collaborate with customers and project managers to understand, design, and create new user interfaces using Next.js.
• Utilize TailwindCSS, ReactJS, and TypeScript in frontend development.
• Ensure code quality for maintainability and IntelliSense; perform code reviews for frontend and backend changes.
• Have a general understanding of Docker to support deployments across different systems.

Key Requirements

• 14 to 20+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s in computer science (or related field) or 18 years of experience without the degree.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Key Skills

• Next.js, TypeScript, Cypress Testing, Docker, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Python (helpful for backend collaboration).

Location: Columbia, MD
Telework: Up to 2 days per week

Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000.00 to $240,000.00. Salary is determined by position, level, skills, experience, education, and certifications. The displayed range reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries across projects; your final salary is determined by your benefits package and hiring process.
