This position involves modeling for the Visual Arts program’s figure drawing and painting classes. New models are welcome. Models with experience in dance, theater, yoga, or athletics are encouraged to apply. All body types and backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Model for Visual Arts program figure drawing and painting classes, under the supervision of the class instructor during class hours.
  • Be available for a variety of times as needed to support class schedules.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appropriately interact with students and faculty.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism; arrive on time and be ready to pose as scheduled.
  • Pose a range of gestures to sustained poses, from brief (30 seconds) to longer poses up to 20 minutes, with breaks as needed, for up to 2–4 hours per session.
  • Provide a full range of traditional life drawing poses as required by class curricula (figure drawing, painting, and related courses).
  • Support class needs across painting and drawing classes at all levels throughout the semester.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and must not be a current student of Roger Williams University.
  • Ability to hold a variety of standing and/or sitting poses from gestures to sustained poses as required.
  • Ability to pose clothed or nude as required by class activities.
