Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Provides guidance and support to investigators on protocol writing, editing, reviewing, and analyzing.
  • Provides substantive scientific and technical writing, editing, stylistic and content editing, rewriting, formatting, editing and proofreading documents, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and comprehensive presentation.
  • Coordinates written responses to queries from the IRB, scientific review committees, FDA, Data Safety Monitoring Committee, and other groups.
  • Assists in the preparation of concepts, protocols, protocol amendments, and protocol consents.
  • Develops and prepares materials related to implementation and activation of protocols.
  • Participates in guiding the database vendor in development of electronic databases for specific protocols.
  • May assist with writing, editing, and preparing grants for submission.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, required.
  • Master’s Degree, preferred.

Experience

Two years of academic or professional experience in scientific writing or clinical research, preferred.
