Job Description
Essential Functions
- Provides guidance and support to investigators on protocol writing, editing, reviewing, and analyzing.
- Provides substantive scientific and technical writing, editing, stylistic and content editing, rewriting, formatting, editing and proofreading documents, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and comprehensive presentation.
- Coordinates written responses to queries from the IRB, scientific review committees, FDA, Data Safety Monitoring Committee, and other groups.
- Assists in the preparation of concepts, protocols, protocol amendments, and protocol consents.
- Develops and prepares materials related to implementation and activation of protocols.
- Participates in guiding the database vendor in development of electronic databases for specific protocols.
- May assist with writing, editing, and preparing grants for submission.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, required.
- Master’s Degree, preferred.
Experience
Two years of academic or professional experience in scientific writing or clinical research, preferred.
