We’re looking for an enthusiastic researcher to explore the world of business customers. Your focus will cover all aspects of UX research, from learning more about our customers to uncover problems that need to be solved to evaluating the impact of our designs. This position will help Amazon Business (AB) realize its enormous potential to help businesses flourish by providing AB the insights it needs to make better decisions for our customers. We employ a variety of methods to generate the insights for multiple stakeholders, including product teams, sales, and marketing. You will help us reinvent business purchasing and delight customers. You will work with product and engineering leaders across the global organization, driving mechanisms to connect those teams’ work into a single, holistic, end‑to‑end experience for business customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to identify needs, prioritize high‑impact research opportunities and develop research roadmaps.
- Plan and execute a wide variety of research activities with customers and prospects, using mixed methods.
- Generate ideas on new or more efficient ways to answer questions that we have about customers.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders (designers, product team, marketing, legal…) to solve problems with data (generate insights from business analytics and customer feedback).
- Work across all of Amazon to drive better research practices and bring attention to business customers.
- Visibilize the value of human‑centered research in the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Design or related fields.
- Substantial experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods (5+ yrs).
- Strong portfolio of past work experience and deliverables demonstrating impact across charters in large organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical, business and executive audiences).
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver against role responsibilities, working with minimal guidance and direction in a fast‑pace environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B or B2C e‑commerce or financial services.
- Experience in dealing with stakeholders in large organizations.
- Demonstrated success with driving innovation or product/design decisions through research insights.
