The Global Brand & Creative team within Marketing is responsible for our brand and marketing creative. From building brand awareness campaigns to designing experiences like Dreamforce, our multi-faceted team brings the brand to life across our portfolio of work. We are designers, copywriters, strategists, PMs, and more, collaborating to deliver beautiful, inspiring, and consistent work.

About This Role

Salesforce is focused on growth and delivering a seamless, consistent experience to the market. We are seeking a Copywriting Leader to join our internal agency and partner with creative leads and marketing partners to bring our brand awareness campaigns and programs to life. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will ideate, problem-solve against briefs, and craft the Salesforce story across channels, advocating for the brand and ensuring high-quality work. The right candidate will be a motivated copywriter who can manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you will do and the impact you will have includes shaping messaging, guiding voice and tone, and delivering compelling copy across mediums while maintaining brand consistency.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with the Creative Lead and teams on conceptual development, ideation and execution across key marketing briefs
  • Develop messaging frameworks that meet project KPIs; test and iterate when necessary
  • Work cross-functionally with key marketing leads to present creative concepts and solutions against briefs
  • Apply industry knowledge and understanding of audience types to write thoughtful copy across channels and mediums
  • Help establish and apply the Salesforce voice and tone; guide other writers and project owners on voice and tone
  • Ensure brand consistency and high-quality copy across all projects
  • Create, concept, inspire, and bring ideas to life; deliver and receive feedback
  • Think big while attending to detail; be a self-starter who can work with teams, freelancers, agencies, and production partners

What Experience You Have

  • BA or BFA in Copywriting or related field
  • Extraordinary writing skills
  • World-class portfolio of work
  • 12+ years experience in copywriting in a creative agency or client-side group; B2B / tech experience is a plus
  • 10+ years experience in marketing with a best-in-class portfolio
  • Hands-on expertise in developing creative solutions and campaigns across all mediums: advertising, film, websites, mobile and graphic design, corporate ID, interactive, social campaigns, content marketing and events
  • Outstanding presentation skills and ability to pitch world-class strategic presentations
  • Passion for copywriting, language, and creative direction
  • Experience managing marketing and editorial projects; scriptwriting for video and voice a plus

For Illinois-based roles, the base salary range for this position is $196,800 to $300,200.
