Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

UI/UX Designer

to drive discovery, design, workflows, and usability testing activities for internal and external applications. This position will be a

full-time contract

and

hybrid

role, requiring 2 days per week onsite in Trenton, NJ.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other designers to balance user needs and business requirements, ensuring delivery of user-centered experiences

Identify opportunities to optimize and simplify complex processes to reduce cognitive load and minimize user errors

Utilize the existing Design System and UI styles to maintain design consistency across applications

Create clickable prototypes to test design assumptions and hypotheses

Work with multiple application teams to deliver project-required deliverables on time

Perform design quality assurance during development

Conduct user research, including user interviews, usability testing, and creating user journey maps

Ensure designs and code are accessible to all users, adhering to WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines

What You'll Need

Required:

Bachelor's degree or certification in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field

4+ years of experience in website application UI/UX graphic design

4+ years of user research experience.

4+ years of experience designing and documenting user interfaces and user experiences

2+ years of experience with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines

Extensive experience in designing enterprise-level applications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings or user/business needs into actionable insights

Proficiency in interaction design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices

Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, including:

Adobe XD

Photoshop

Illustrator

InDesign

Dreamweaver

HTML5

CSS3

Preferred:

Experience with the PEGA suite of applications

Familiarity with Agile methodology

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around for meetings or testing

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$58 - $68 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
