The Creative Producer will oversee the creative direction and logistical execution of several recurring series featuring PragerU personalities, published multiple times per week across PragerU platforms. The ideal candidate has proven experience developing and launching online series focused on current events, politics, pop culture, and social issues.
Duties And Responsibilities Produce and publish high-quality episodes multiple times per week for various talent
Research daily topics and develop story ideas with the team
Oversee filming, post-production, and publishing logistics
Communicate team updates on behalf of the Head of Creative and flag issues with bandwidth, performance, or cross-departmental conflicts
Review and approve live show and daily episode content
Supervise editing of shorts and provide time stamps for repurposed content
Manage social media for the series’ YouTube channel and related promotional channels
Serve as liaison for talent on internal and external requests (campaign promotions, press, shoots, donor requests, etc.); Assist the Marketing comedy sketch team and support large-scale campaign strategies (e.g., NewsGuard, Earth Day, short documentaries) as they come up
Successful Candidates Will Possess 5–7 years of production experience, including 5+ years managing live webcast production (pre-, day-of, and post-production)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up style environment and keep productions streamlined
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and coordinate across teams
Proven problem-solving ability with creative, cost-effective solutions
Effective leader and collaborator with other departments
Team player: proactive, reliable, calm under pressure, and no-ego
Strong creative instincts, editorial judgment, and critical thinking
Ability to identify and break news stories through independent research
Eagerness to improve the series with new segments, guests, and ideas
Knowledge of video podcast production best practices
General familiarity with camera, lighting, audio, and editing
News junkie in the conservative media space
Strong knowledge and interest in U.S. history and “culture war” issues
An “idea machine” with the ability to pitch content ideas, show ideas, and episode topics
Ability to argue both sides of an issue and clearly articulate major points
