Salary range: Pay: $15.00
The Creative Ventures Fellow works with the Director of Creative Enterprises to support and mentor student entrepreneurs at Montserrat. The position is a unique training and collaborative opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development, marketing, and project management within a creative environment. The Fellow will act as a liaison and partner, helping students transform their creative ideas into viable businesses.
Responsibilities and Tasks Work directly with the Director of Creative Enterprises to support the development and launch of student-led businesses and projects
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities for creative ventures
Assist in developing business plans, marketing strategies, and financial models for various projects
Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, events, and other programming related to entrepreneurship
Serve as a key liaison between the Creative Enterprises office and the student body
Learning Outcomes The student employee has the ability to work independently and on a deadline
The student employee will collaborate with others on various ideas and projects
The student employee will proactively seek and embrace development opportunities, and seek opportunities to learn
The student employee will communicate clearly and organize their thoughts so others can understand
The student employee will solicit and use feedback from multiple perspectives to make inclusive and equity-minded decisions
Working Conditions/Physical Demands Lift and carry materials up to 20 lbs. Related to events, workshops, or setting up displays. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or assisting with events. Manual dexterity is required for tasks such as using a keyboard, handling art supplies, or organizing documents. Mobility to navigate the campus and various studio spaces to meet with students and faculty.
