Position Summary
We are looking for a Product Designer with experience designing for technical products and a passion for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate will focus on representing customer needs in the product development process by analyzing current workflows, conducting user research, and working with multiple stakeholders to understand our strategy. The role will collaborate with our engineering, product, commercial and marketing teams in support of organizational goals and product roadmaps.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, engineering and stakeholders to coordinate project deliverables and measurable metrics for success
Contribute as a designer from end-to-end on projects, comfortable as a researcher, data scientist, strategist, and designer
Assemble design documentation and prototypes that can be easily shared and understood by stakeholders
Adopt and champion ongoing improvement to a user-centered design framework
Represent users in the product creation process to create empathetic, accessible and delightful designs across all personas
Work alongside engineers to implement pixel-perfect production-ready designs
Implement an effective feedback loop to ensure deliverables meet objectives and communicate findings
Create and refine design system patterns for the Xpansiv brand and platforms
Provide guidance in driving the overall brand, identity and aesthetic of the company
Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to improve personal and team efficiency and productivity
Skills & Requirements
5+ years design experience in a consulting or in-house environment
A strong portfolio demonstrating experience, storytelling, and design presentation skills
Experience reviewing existing systems to identify UX issues and develop recommendations
Exposure to UX research, including planning, designing, and facilitating user sessions and client workshops
Experience developing component libraries and design systems from annotated wires to clickable prototypes
Ability to generate ideas and prototypes anchored in research, knowledge, technology requirements, and business goals
Experience designing for enterprise or technical environments
Strong graphic design fundamentals (typography, iconography, composition)
Knowledge of web, iOS and Android platform requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented approach
Fluent in UX wireframing and high-fidelity UI design prototyping tools like Figma
Customer-obsessed and motivated to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized future
Interview Process

Compensation
Base Salary: Compensation varies by region due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Actual pay is determined based on relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. For New York, compensation is expected to be between $165,000–$185,000.
