Right Place. Right Price. Job Summary Test & Evaluation is hiring a Lab Test Technical Designer to join the Systems Laboratory Test Design/Build team. The team develops and maintains engineering product definition for Systems laboratory test requirements and instrumentation of commercial and military programs. Responsibilities include preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs, developing engineering product definitions, and creating statements of work with design requirements, cost and schedule estimates. Coordinates and develops work transfer packages and contributes to the integration of product definition across internal and external partners. Investigates and resolves moderately complex manufacturing or engineering issues and verifies the accuracy of engineering data produced by others. This role offers exposure to a dynamic Lab test environment across multiple programs. Position Responsibilities Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Support Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs). Collaborate with design, manufacturing and fabrication teams. Manage drafting requirements and incorporate drawing changes to support business goals. Support development, maintenance or modification of systems, components and installation designs to meet requirements and specifications. Review design requirements and modifications of Mechanical & Structural assemblies and installations. Review Configuration Management Requirements for compliance prior to releasing Lab test drawings. Work with cross-functional teams. Required Skills More than 2 years of experience with engineering and design software (CAD/3D packages such as CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.). More than 3 years of experience in conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables. Preferred Skills Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences; self-starter. Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering.
