The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Designer to join our team. This is an intermediate-level role and is ideal for a creative, technically proficient, and highly organized designer who thrives in a collaborative studio environment. You will play a key role in the conceptualization, development, and execution of projects across all phases—from early ideation to construction administration. Responsibilities Design Support production in design phases, including 2D drawings, 3D models, and presentation decks Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and a refined aesthetic and functional sensibility throughout the design process Produce and coordinate comprehensive technical drawings, including document sets across all phases Ensure design intent is accurately translated through coordination with consultants, and contractors Work closely with teammates to promote a culture of design excellence Collaborate holistically with internal architecture teams to integrate interiors seamlessly with the broader project vision Communicate effectively with Partners and Directors to advance project goals and studio standards Required Skills and Qualifications Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) Strong knowledge of 3ds Max, Corona and/or other high-quality rendering software Knowledge of sustainable design practices and material research Ability to create persuasive and visually compelling presentation materials High level of attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and creativity Comfortable working in a collaborative and holistic manner with internal architecture teams Our Ideal Candidate has the following Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field 5+ years of professional experience in architecture firms Exceptional design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and creative design solutions Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced studio environment with evolving timelines and priorities A collaborative spirit with a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work Willingness to learn and grow within the role Compensation The rate for this position generally is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
