The ABF Editor role focuses on building out the asset-based finance (ABF) editorial coverage, driving scoop-driven agenda-setting content, and shaping 9fin’s coverage in this vertical. What you’ll work on Drive editorial strategy, coverage areas and content for the new asset-based finance vertical, ensuring scoop-driven agenda-setting coverage. Ensure the success of the ABF product rollout, pinpointing crucial trends, providing expertise and liaising across 9fin product and sales teams to drive the business forward. Editing ABF content and broader 9fin journalism and credit analysis across other teams, reviewing sourcing and any legal issues, pinpointing angles and keeping 9fin coverage fresh and punchy. Build out and manage the US ABF team, hiring the best journalists on the beat, supporting the development of less experienced journalists, and helping bring out skills and capabilities. Meet the ABF market, develop and maintain a top-class source base and ensure 9fin’s coverage in this area is best-in-class. Moderate panel sessions, webinars, podcasts and represent 9fin in public-facing forums. About You If you are an experienced editor with experience in asset-based finance and securitization, a broader interest in complex credit and markets, a track record of scoops and polished copy, and expertise in managing a team we are interested in hearing from you: Knowledge and experience of asset-based finance, preferably including an existing source base. Proven editing skills with the ability to turn around copy quickly and concisely, while maintaining a high attention to detail. Team player and coach, with proven ability in managing and developing reporters. Good understanding of Media Law. Excellent networking and relationship-building skills. Self-starter able to deliver off-diary breaking news. Effective written and verbal communication skills conveying messages accurately and concisely.
