Responsibilities Manage an editorial team, including setting professional goals, conducting regular performance feedback, and handling hiring and staffing decisions for full‑time staff. Oversee budgets, production timelines, and contribute to the site’s leadership alongside the Editor in Chief and SVP, Editorial Strategy. Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly assignments for the NYLON team, use internal analytics, SEO tools, social insights, and trends to identify opportunities, and ensure coverage aligns with the site’s goals. Provide strategic direction to editors on assignments, angles, and story structure; work collaboratively across departments to identify coverage opportunities. Oversee planning, staffing, and coverage of live and breaking events across a wide range of topics; set the tone for vertical‑defining series, franchises, and special packages. Collaborate with the executive team and HR on wider BDG‑wide initiatives and act as a main point of contact for Editorial Operations and Sales to fulfill business obligations.
