About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Social + Influencer Marketing to set the vision and lead execution for Depop’s organic social media and influencer strategy across our key global markets, with a strong focus on the US. This newly combined function will drive brand health, global strategic direction, and growth. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Creative, lead a team across London and New York, and collaborate with Global Brand, Marketing, Creative, and Product teams. This role is based in our New York office in Brooklyn.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Develop and deliver a cohesive global organic social media and influencer marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
Strategy & Planning: Lead initiatives to increase brand awareness and share of voice; identify collaboration opportunities with paid teams to maximize reach of social content.
Execution & Delivery: Oversee always-on and campaign-based initiatives; ensure integration between social and influencer workstreams.
Execution & Delivery: Manage external agency relationships to ensure high-quality output.
Reporting: Refine performance measurement frameworks and listening data; introduce new tools where appropriate.
Reporting: Track performance and present data-led reports to senior stakeholders.
Collaboration: Partner with senior marketing leaders to align priorities and optimize cross-functional ways of working.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Product leadership to enhance in-app and web brand experience.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team across London and New York; set goals and support career progression.
Budget Management: Manage the team budget across markets and allocate resources effectively.
About You
Proven track record in social media and influencer marketing, ideally in a high-growth tech, social marketplace, or fashion e-commerce environment.
Deep understanding of US and UK social media and celebrity/influencer landscapes.
Creative, strategic thinker with strong storytelling instincts.
Experience building relationships with platform leads (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) to drive collaboration and visibility.
Skilled in organization, project management, and data analysis; able to navigate fast-paced environments.
Experience both in-house and agency-side is a plus.
Ability to translate social and influencer performance data into actionable insights that shape strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with understanding of customer and media communication.
Proven leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
