Pay Range: $50,939.00 - $55,016.00 (Median Range $52,520.00).
This is a role for someone passionate about family violence and social media. The Social Media Coordinator will be an integral member of the team responsible for supporting all social media activities. The position requires creativity, calendar-driven work, storytelling, comfort with camera work, and the ability to collaborate within a mission-driven team.
Responsibilities
Content Development (50%): assist in developing, creating, and publishing engaging text, images, and video content; stay updated on social media best practices and trends; collaborate with programmatic department teams to support cross-department campaigns; ensure content adheres to organizational branding and messaging.
Content Distribution (40%): maintain the social media calendar; manage channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter; strategize with programmatic, marketing, and membership teams to create campaigns and maintain a regular publishing schedule across channels; increase user engagement and web traffic; include graphic design as it pertains to social media; attend events to capture content as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities (10%): monitor channel analytics and provide timely reporting to leadership; respond to information inquiries submitted via social channels; on-air and media scripting as needed.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Sought
Required: Texas residency; hybrid remote work in Texas with in-office and on-site event responsibilities; travel for in-person activities as needed.
3-4 years of social media work experience; strong organizational and collaboration skills; self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
Excellent written and oral communication with proofreading skills; proficient to expert in Microsoft Office, Adobe applications (including InDesign), Google Analytics, Canva (or similar), and all social media platforms; comfortable learning new software.
Ability to manage video recording/editing equipment and on-camera responsibilities; strong time management to handle multiple projects; sensitivity to diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team management model; regular, predictable attendance required; commitment to the organization’s mission.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
Bi-lingual Spanish.
Experience with non-profit organizations and knowledge of domestic violence dynamics; large social media following or influencer experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
Ability to communicate in English; travel up to 25% may be required; ability to sit or stand for extended periods; remote work capability and in-office work as needed; ability to handle high-pressure situations and occasional long or irregular hours. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
