Boston Children's Hospital is hiring: Music Therapist (Temporary) in Boston

Position Summary Music Therapist (temporary maternity leave coverage) for our ICU units. Key Responsibilities Provide music therapy to support the developmental, rehabilitative, psychological, socioemotional, and psychoeducational needs of BCH patients and families from various demographic and multicultural backgrounds. Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to assess, evaluate, and document the therapeutic needs of patients to address the medical, procedural, surgical, diagnostic, and prognostic experiences of patients and families. Provide basic guidance and instruction on student/intern performance and interactions with patients and families. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy Experience: 1 year work experience in a medical setting and/or working with children. The ability to adhere to AMTA standards of practice, code of ethics and professional competencies. Demonstrated proficient knowledge in music therapy clinical practice, musical skills, child development and the impact of healthcare on neurodevelopmental outcomes. Licensure/ Certifications Certification or the eligibility to sit for certification exam within 18 months of hire are preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
