Overview Of The Lead, Visual Role
You will provide daily support to the management team by performing opening and closing routines, supervising to ensure the store meets financial goals, and that associates deliver World-Class service to our guests. You will perform operational functions in the assigned area of accountability (Sales) to ensure the store meets company expectations.
Responsibilities
Open and close the store, handle register functions and back office procedures
Ensure store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety and back-of-house standards during manager-on-duty shifts
Serve as a role model in sales generation and customer service by prioritizing the customer experience
Use Selling Essentials and training resources to educate the team on product, improve selling skills, and achieve business goals
Provide training and coaching to associates in selling, product knowledge, clienteling and in-home services
Maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect in line with our People First Philosophy
Criteria
Effective communication, organization and leadership skills
Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples
Ability to be active, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching and lifting for extended periods
1-3 years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred
1-2 years experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred
Physical Requirements
Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
Must be able to lift and move medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., with proper equipment and safety techniques
Full-time associates are expected to have open availability
Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on weekends and two during the week; higher hours may be required depending on business needs
