Base pay range $102,500.00/hr - $113,000.00/hr Job Summary We are looking for a Sr. ava Developer for a Web Developer III role with one of our largest clients in the Cleveland, OH area. This is a contract-to-hire role that is hybrid (3x a week in office) through December 2025, and then 5x a week on-site beginning January 2026. Location: Cleveland, Ohio Job type: Contract to Perm Salary: $102,500 - 113,000 per hour Work hours: 9am to 5pm Education: Bachelors Responsibilities Profound knowledge in web-based application development, testing and deployment process Gathering business requirements, analyzing, coding and testing Well versed with the Software development cycle and application development process Offer solutions to improve performance of existing applications and develop new modules with latest technologies without affecting existing functionality Migration of Java based projects Implementing security for web-based applications & web services Implementing design patterns & caching technology Qualifications Required skills & experience: 5+ years in J2EE development experience implementing web applications (with Oracle 10g or higher database) Web Application Development experience in Java/J2EE environment including JPA, MVC frameworks, CSS, JSON/XML Technologies, Struts, JQuery, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and HTML Experience with MVC architecture integration, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), and common design patterns Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Node.js Strong experience working with SOAP/RESTful services, APIs, API gateways and/or Microservices Experience in an Enterprise Database Management System (preferably Oracle), including intermediate or higher use of SQL and stored procedures Strong experience with command line git and GitHub Experienced with Containers and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) technologies and concepts Hands on experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestration Experience with cloud technologies preferably Azure/AWS and vendor integrations, specifically around API integration Understanding of Container security, management, implementation, and orchestration in a cloud environment Experience testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues Experience developing test cases and test plans Agile product development experience utilizing Scrum or Kanban Preferred Experience 2+ years in JBoss Drools rule engine 2+ years in implementing micro-services 4+ years in implementing design patterns & caching technologies 3+ years in Angulary JS, Jquery, Node.js EAP 7.x performance tuning & optimization Implementing Continuous integration / continuous delivery environment using Jenkins Experience in Selenium testing Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field Pluses Business Background in Financial Area (Payroll, AR, Accounting) Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
