Job Description Location: Los Angeles, CA Type: Full Time Staff Writers are at the heart of the HICONSUMPTION engine, providing enthusiast-driven product reviews, daily snapshot product coverage, features, and in-depth buyer’s guides. You’ll get hands-on with some of the greatest gear on the market, uncovering and sharing what makes these products tick through the HICONSUMPTION lens. Note: We’re only looking for enthusiasts in specific verticals (outlined below)– people who live and breathe this stuff and are deeply immersed in the culture. Desired Verticals Watches Everyday Carry (EDC) Gear Tech/Gadgets Motoring (Automotive/Motorcycles) Style Responsibilities Daily production of gear content which includes product reviews, brand stories, snapshot coverage, features and in-depth buyer’s guides Writing/editing scripts for our video reviews (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) Daily interfacing with brand partners, vendors, and PR reps to secure products for hands-on coverage including spreadsheet management to track incoming/outgoing packages Performing in-depth research to discover to the best gear within specified verticals, and providing extensive review coverage Participating in review photoshoots in our LA studio Scour the web on a daily basis for the best gear – well-designed, utilitarian gear that fuses form and function Pitching and writing engaging content that is designed to be digested and shared in a world consumed by social media Strategize with team on larger editorial pieces to help make HICONSUMPTION the best gear destination on the web Copy editing and fact checking Requirements Passion for well-designed, well-built gear – above all else.
