Newscast Producer Job at Sinclair Broadcast Group in West Palm Beach

JOB DESCRIPTION WPEC has an immediate opening for a creative News Producer! In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will also work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors on the newscast and its content. You will determine the content and flow of newscasts, collaborate with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories, and develop content for our website. The ideal candidate will have: Solid news judgment Compelling and accurate writing skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to produce engaging and informative newscasts Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong leadership and communication skills Capability to execute news strategies and achieve goals in daily newscasts Flexibility and quick problem-solving abilities Proficiency with non-linear editing systems (e.g., Avid) and newsroom systems like iNews Experience: Previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station is preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong potential may be considered A Journalism degree is preferred EEO AND INCLUSIVITY: Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
