Overview Small Girls PR is looking for a Producer to support the Experiential service line. You’ll help us grow SGPR’s reputation as the go-to agency for exciting and out-of-the-box experiential production. This role will lead production from concept, to client sell-in, pre-production, and onsite production. Note: this role can be based in either our NYC or LA office, working two days a week in the office on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Work collaboratively on experiential production with internal press and influencer marketing teams. Produce programs for clients across multiple verticals, primarily focusing on beauty clients, but also may include fashion, hospitality, tech, food & beverage, retail, and more. Manage production programs independently, including client management; experience concept and design; briefing and overseeing designers, fabricators and art directors; budget management and financial processes; timeline development and management; vendor sourcing, hiring, and management; etc. Experiences may include 100 person private product previews, influencer trips, mobile trucks, press mailers, and more. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on projects you own. Anticipate client needs, brainstorm live, and navigate challenging situations—developing relationships where clients trust you implicitly. Collaborate with senior production colleagues on large-scale productions with tasks such as concepting onsite activations, vendor sourcing, permitting, and managing fabrication. Experiences may include consumer pop ups and more. Furnish original, thoughtful experiential concepts that ladder back to client and agency goals. Develop ideas, decor, and fabrication that result in irresistibly shareable moments and lasting memories. Contribute to pitches and activation decks with visuals and design; AI tools are welcome; 3D rendering ability is a plus. Facilitate and contribute to business development by upselling work to your client roster and supporting colleagues in cross-selling experiential work to additional clients. This includes reviewing ideas, advising on feasibility (budget, timeline), joining brainstorms, building client decks, and presenting to clients. Pitch new business opportunities, including fielding introductory calls, developing proposals, and presenting to prospects. New business may be standalone experiential projects or integrated work with the agency’s press and influencer teams. Understand the agency’s service lines to implement strong integrated ways of working and strengthen strategic recommendations to clients. Speak about SGPR’s integrated capabilities with clients and prospects, and design experiences for press and influencer audiences. Qualifications / What We’re Looking For You have 3+ years of experiential production experience and are skilled at overseeing and producing events with budgets of $100k. You understand how to allocate client budgets to maximize impact and work well with finance teams. You understand what makes an experience enticing, shareable, and memorable. You can collaborate with peers of different specialties to develop integrated programs and can discuss earned press and influencer marketing at a high level with clients. You communicate professionally with clients and can lead client meetings. You have experience working directly with clients and their partners regarding strategy, event logistics, budgets, and more. You can mentor junior production staff, review their work, and teach them new skills. You create decks that effectively communicate original event ideas relevant to client goals; you can independently create floor plans and creative mockups; you’re a visual thinker who can communicate your vision with mockups and moodboards. You have a track record of managing multiple projects, are detail-oriented with a creative flair, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive on new challenges. You are willing to travel for site visits and event days, including outside of normal hours. You have a network of preferred vendors, venues, and freelancers for various project needs. You’re willing to do hands-on tasks to make events successful, including lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting with setup/strike logistics and overnight installs. A driver’s license is preferred due to occasional local transportation for load-ins/production. You stay informed about trends, communities, partnerships, and events, and can connect these concepts to client initiatives.
