Job Title: Communications Manager Creative Arts
Reports To: Creative Arts Pastor
Job Overview:
Gateway Church is looking for a Communications Manager to lead, organize, and create all things related to communications, branding, and media for Gateway.
You’ll work with the Creative Arts Pastor to make sure our church’s message is clear, consistent, and engaging—whether it’s on social media, the website, print materials, or video. You’ll also support and guide our team of communications volunteers, photographers, designers, and storytellers. This position requires regular attendance at Gateway Fellowship to ensure alignment with the mission of the church.
As a member of the Gateway OneTeam, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission: Helping people take their next step toward Christ. Key qualifications include possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness and demonstrates a meaningful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Job Status/Schedule – Full-time, 40 hrs/wk
Salary – $20- $25/hr, Non-exempt

Responsibilities:
Oversee all internal and external communications for Gateway
Maintain a consistent brand voice across platforms
Plan and create content for social media, website, email newsletters, and print
Manage and update the church website
Coordinate photography and video projects to tell stories of life change
Partner with ministry leaders to promote events and initiatives
Schedule and post content using social media management tools
Recruit, train, and schedule communications volunteers
Collaborate with pastors and staff to ensure messaging supports ministry goals
Design basic graphics and layouts (or coordinate with designers for large projects)
Track engagement analytics and adjust strategies accordingly
Write and edit copy for announcements, scripts, and promo materials
Maintain the communications calendar
Ensure all content aligns with Gateway’s mission, values, and theology
Support special events with promotion and coverage
Stay current on trends in church communications and outreach
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any relevant portfolio materials may be uploaded with your application.
A committed follower of Jesus who lives out their faith daily
Passionate about clear, creative, and Christ-centered communication
Experienced in social media, digital marketing, or church communications (3–5 years preferred)
Skilled in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Planning Center, and Microsoft Office
Familiar with website CMS platforms (e.g., WebFlow)
A strong writer, editor, and storyteller
Able to lead, train, and encourage volunteers
Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
Flexible and ready to adapt to new opportunities
A problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Eager to keep learning and growing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1+ year attending Gateway Church or Crosspoint Christian School (preferred)
3–5 years of communications, marketing, or ministry experience required
A degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field is a bonus
