Interiors Designer manages, selects, and maintains the standards for Saint Francis Health System interior design finishes, furniture, and artwork. This role creates functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that enhances the patient experience and supports positive health outcomes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develops space plans, interior layouts, and finish schemes for healthcare environments that promote healing, functionality, and safety.
Creates interior design concepts aligned with operational needs, patient and staff flow, and medical equipment placement.
Selects materials and furnishings that meet infection control, fire safety, and environmental sustainability standards.
Collaborates with stakeholders to develop effective signage and wayfinding strategies that enhance patient and visitor navigation.
Ensures timely delivery and installation of artwork, signage, and furniture per project schedules and budget constraints.
Ensures spatial designs accommodate clinical workflows, patient privacy, accessibility, and staff needs.
Monitors trends in healthcare design, sustainability, material technology, and wellness to continuously improve design outcomes.
Develops and enforces interior design guidelines for finishes, furniture, artwork, and signage to ensure cohesive visual and spatial standards.
Initiates and maintains contact with key project stakeholders for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: NCIDQ, Licensed Interior Designer, or Registered Architect with the Oklahoma Board of Architects.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience. Experience within a healthcare environment, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; working knowledge of infection prevention principles, acoustics, lighting, and ergonomics specific to healthcare environments; working knowledge of interior signage types, placement, and ADA-compliant wayfinding systems; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships
Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
