Overview The Department of Health Sciences (HSC) invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Health Promotion and Education, beginning August 16, 2026. We seek candidates who are highly qualified and motivated to teach health promotion, health education, and public health courses as well as other courses to support the Department of Health Sciences. A successful candidate will also be expected to pursue cross-functional, integrative curriculum development and incorporate a pedagogical approach to involve students in learning through high levels of engagement. Candidates will be expected to develop a focused area of research including publication in refereed journals and provide service to the campus and professional communities. For consideration at the associate level, applicants should have an appropriate record of teaching excellence and scholarship. Responsibilities Teach health promotion, health education, and public health courses, plus other courses to support the Department of Health Sciences. Engage in cross-functional, integrative curriculum development and promote student engagement in learning. Develop a focused area of research with publication in refereed journals. Provide service to the campus and professional communities. For tenure considerations at the associate level, demonstrate a record of teaching excellence and scholarship. Qualifications Required: Doctoral degree in health promotion, health education, public health, or a commensurate field. Exceptional ABD candidates will be considered with expected degree completion before May 15, 2026. Required: Ability to demonstrate oral proficiency in English as a condition of employment. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $72,000–$84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
